The US government is way too complicated to be run by a mentally normal person, and sufficiently smart people are un-electable. So as a rule we should only vote for sociopaths, and try to design an incentive structure that’s sociopath-compatible. The most successful state-sized organizations are corporations, which are required as a matter of law to be sociopathic.
